Frequently asked questions
General
I am an out of network (OON) provider. I do not bill insurance directly. This allows me to offer trauma‑informed, evidence‑based care without the limitations that insurance companies often place on session length, treatment approaches, or the number of sessions you can receive. It also protects your privacy, as insurance requires a mental health diagnosis and access to certain clinical information.
If you have out‑of‑network benefits, I’m happy to provide a monthly superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement. I also offer the option of multiple sessions a week for intensive care/massed treatment that is often not reimbursed
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit/debit card. If you have out‑of‑network benefits, I can provide a monthly statement (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
I understand that life can be unpredictable…and things happen. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice so I can offer the time to another client. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are billed at the full session fee.
It’s important to monitor progress and see if you are meeting your goals. There are several ways to do this, including your own reflection of changes you are experiencing. Additionally, we will use some assessments to see where changes are happening and to make changes if we aren’t seeing you meet the goals you have for yourself.
This can vary, based on the concerns and goals of each individual. Generally speaking, CBT is approximately 3-6 months.
I work with adults 18 and over.
